"Fashion is all about what is out there where as style is more about what you have within you."

1. What's the most important part of being a well dressed man?

I think that being well groomed and wearing the correct size of clothing lays the foundation to becoming a well-dressed man. The rest is all about being confident in pulling off your personal style.

2. What are your favorite stylish hotspots?

Walking around the streets in Milan was pretty fascinating from a style point of view as you’d see everyone ranging from young to the elderly with outstanding dress sense. Having traveled through quite a few major cities around the world, my friends and I were genuinely taken aback on seeing first-hand how style had no connection with age. We knew that the city was widely regarded as the fashion capital of the world but we definitely weren’t expecting the average Milanese to be so strikingly dressed on your average Monday morning.

3. What are the essential items in every man's wardrobe?

Here you go in a random order: A good pair of jeans, a button down dress shirt, white T-shirt, polo, a leather jacket, a well fitted notch lapel suit, an overcoat, a leather belt, a knitted tie, pocket square, a chino, jogging bottoms and hoodie, dress shoe, loafer, trainers, sunglasses and a lint roller!

4. What colors are rare to see men wearing but may fit some in particular?

It all depends on whether you are willing to experiment and go out of your comfort zone. This isn’t that extreme but I sometimes wear bright blue, red or white chinos for example. Or wear bright green trainers or a classy pink shirt with a grey suit. It doesn’t mean you have to look crazy different but it’s always fun to be a little out of the ordinary and to play around with your style.

5. How would you define style?

Style is about giving your personal touch when dressing up, which helps in distinguishing yourself from others.

6. What is the difference between style and fashion?

Fashion is all about what is out there where as style is more about what you have within you. With fashion, the emphasis may be on clothes you wear, but with style it’s about you as an individual.

7. Which brands do you usually wear?

I guess this depends a lot on the occasion. And it can vary greatly. My wardrobe ranges from funky tops I’ve bought in different back streets of various cities around the world including Thamel to high street stores like Topman & Zara, to All Saints, Hilfiger, CK, Ralph Lauren & Reiss, to Barbour, Hugo Boss & Armani. I root for quality over quantity, be it branded or non-branded. Anything that’s a little out of the ordinary!

8. Who is that one actor, whose fashion style you follow?

Does everyone have this? Obviously who doesn’t try to follow the footsteps of Bond if you’re in a tux! But I usually just tend to experiment with mixing and matching based on my judgment. It hasn’t let me down too badly so far! I feel that the key is to not try too hard to look good /different. Just a subtle personal touch to create your own style usually works just fine.

"Style for me is “me” and fashion is what ‘they’ want me to be."

1. How would you define style?

Style is the distinctive and defining characteristic of someone that includes everything from the way he/she talks, dresses, the hairstyle, demeanor, etc.

2. What is the difference between style and fashion to you?

Style for me is “me” and fashion is what ‘they’ want me to be. In other words, style is what I choose and fashion is what they choose for me. And also we all know, fashion is fleeting and style is forever.

3. What is the most important part of being a well-dressed man?

The most important part of dressing well is the impression it creates. Making a good impression is always important. If you meet someone in a nice outfit that expresses who you are, they will notice the effort you put into making yourself presentable.

4. What are the essential items in every man’s wardrobe?

Plain t-shirt both v-neck and round neck, Khaki pants,  Formal shirts, especially white, light blue and royal blue, cardigans, sweater, a decent suit, jeans, both black and brown leather jacket, shoes of each kind i.e., sports, formal, casual,  polo shirt and a good timepiece.

5. What colors are rare to see men wearing but may suit some in particular?

Pink! Pink is quite daring. People are afraid to try on pink but I feel it will be a great color to try on.

6. Who is that one actor, whose fashion style you follow?

Eddie Redmayne will be my answer to it. His sense of dressing is so unique and astonishing.
